Good Morning Father,
What a wonderful privilege to greet this beautiful day!
A privilege to say Good Morning to you!
A privilege to know that you are my Father!
Not one sparrow falls to the ground, without you knowing,
You have counted each strand of hair on my head,
You know exactly how tall I am,
You know all the thoughts in my mind,
You put the words on my tongue,
I will praise you for I am wonderfully made,
I submit myself to your care today,
I give you complete control of my day,
Lead in the path that you have mapped out,
Bring people into my life that you want to bless through me.
Father, as the sun rises on this new day
Bringing light and warmth,
Let your Son rise in my heart,
Let the Holy Spirit bring warmth and light to my life,
Let me shine that light to those around me,
At the end of the day let me say
‘It was a wonderful day, dear Father with you’
I always enjoy waking up in the morning as the sun is about to rise, knowing that God has given me another day of life. Each morning we are given the privilege to write our story for that day. We do not know who is going to come into our lives, we do not know what blessings are going to come our way, we do not even know if we are going to see the end of that day. What a waste it is to start the day in a grumpy mood. We should be thankful that we are alive, that we can get out of bed in the morning, that we can go to work, that we can be an instrument for God to use4.
Let us be thankful each day that our Father in heaven has given us a new day to enjoy.
