Genesis 50:20
You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.

My daughter’s purse was stolen today and it contained her wallet with all her important information ID, SS Card, INS Permanent Resident Card, ATM Debit Card and also 3 brand new paperback copies and 1 hardback copy of my new book Heart-Songs, Prayers, Reflections And Praise. She was doing some book promotion today.

My initial reaction was anger for me, ‘What the heck are they going to do with my books?’ Then anger for my daughter. She will have to replace all her important cards. They all cost money which is in short supply right now. I AM REALLY MAD!!!

I am trying to let the Holy Spirit calm me down and this is the conversation so far…
Whose books were they?
Yours God
Why did you write the book? To share your love with others
How will the people for whom you wrote the book get it? They will have to buy it
How much does the book cost? From $23.00 - $42.00
Do you think the people who stole your book would ever buy it? No
Do you think that there is a possibility that this is my way of getting the books into the hands of the people who need the book? Yes Lord and I am truly sorry for trying to take over your book.

I am hanging on to the verse in Genesis that shows how God can change any horrible situation into something good. My anger is dissipating and I am praying that the words in the book will accomplish the purpose that God intended.

My daughter will get her documents replaced in time and all things will work out for good because we are called according to His purpose. Praise the name of the Lord!

Amen! They may not of gotten what they were looking for if they were looking for cash, but God has a unique purpose for the book, and the people who come in contact with it will be blessed. This is a true test of where our hearts are and the power of God's words. What a beautiful treasure to end up in the hands of people who may need words of encouragement more than we could ever imagine. It's a miserable situation for my possessions, but I know things can be replaced. I take comfort in the fact that nothing ever seems as bad with you as my mom. And nothing is impossible with God. I love you!
